Art the Clown is a fictional character from the horror film franchise Terrifier. He is a demonic clown known for his sadistic and brutal violence.
Art first appeared in the 2008 short film The 9th Circle. He gained wider recognition in the anthology film All Hallows' Eve (2013). He then starred in his own feature film, Terrifier (2016), and its sequel, Terrifier 2 (2022). A third film, Terrifier 3, is planned for release.
Played by actor David Howard Thornton, Art the Clown is a silent character, relying on exaggerated expressions and gestures to convey his malevolent intent as he stalks and tortures his victims.
